Synopsis: This position will meet the copywriting needs of Ecreativeworks and our clients. The content can vary from creating email blasts, posting on social marketing accounts to technical information about our client’s products and services. The majority of Ecreativeworks clients are industrial based, so the copywriting is research and factual focused. This position will also meet the needs of the digital marketing team, by helping research the industry, complete projects related to the websites Ecreativeworks develops and learn about our processes to help the digital marketing team achieve the goals of our clients.

The perfect person for this career is passionate about the word and have an interest in how their writing style can bring results in the search engines and would like to continue learning and making a difference for clients.  Ownership of content, project management, research capabilities, attention to detail and problem solving skills combine to provide Ecreativeworks with a reliable team member that will help our clients gain better visibility in the search engines and further expand the digital marketing team’s knowledge and efficiencies with in-house projects.

Success in this position means being comfortable providing guidance and consulting to companies in terms of the content needed on their website. Success will also be measured in the further strengthening in the products the digital marketing team can offer our clients.  Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively work with multiple copywriting projects are essential.
Job Duties:

  • Write enticing product descriptions and keyword-rich content for web pages.
  • Research and create content for websites that in currently in website production.
  • Prepare press releases for distribution throughout various media channels.
  • Format and edit content at various stages of development for conformance to standards for information architecture, editorial style, and visual design.
  • Maintain company profile on top social networking communities such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Social Bookmarking sites and Twitter.
  • Perform continuous enhancements and modifications to company’s website and blog.
  • Work with products department to create effective marketing materials.
  • Proactively review electronic content & recommend usability improvements, (content clarity, brevity, calls to action, and streamlined online navigation).
  • Help complete digital marketing team’s responsibilities in a website production.
  • Research and learn more about digital marketing, search engine optimization, and new ideas to present to our monthly clients.
  • Be an active part of completing production for our monthly clients and helping them gain visibility in the search engines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (equivalent work experience may be considered).
  • Strong understanding of punctuation, style, and copyediting rules.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in copyediting, professional writing, or proofreading.
  • Strong knowledge of the web environment.
  • Experience with web navigation, visual design, SEO practices, HTML, and Photoshop is a plus.
